Conflict means problems that occur and that characters run into during the story. Only towards the beginning of the the story do problems occur; when I say problems I mean an abundance of problems, such as the many below.
CONFLICT
Todd's Medical Problems
Before Colton's Problems, Todd had some problems himself. Todd had a broken leg, kidney stones, and breast cancer!
As you might know Colton died went to Heaven and came back, but to get to that point Colton puked about every five minutes for a few days and poison had been leaking out of his appendix for five days.

Bills
Upon returning home, after staying with Colton for many days, there were many bills awaiting the Burpo family adding up to $23,000!
